Treatment of Adenoid Hypertrophy with Plasma Vaporization

The adenoids are small masses of lymphatic tissue located in the upper airway. Adenoid hypertrophy is the abnormal enlargement of the adenoids, can happen along acute or chronic infection of the adenoids. Symptoms include difficulty in breathing through the nose, disruptive sleep apnea, and partial or complete blockage of the nasal airway. It is mostly seen in children under 5 years old

The evaporation method is basically carried out with a special device defined as a coblator. After isotonic saline is applied to the application area, the excess area in the adenoid is evaporated by the effect of plasma with radiofrequency energy and it is removed from the area by vacuum with the help of a specially designed device.

Although the evaporation method is a new method, it can be performed without damaging the surrounding tissues (especially the Eustachian tube). In addition, this application has many advantages over other methods.

Closed Technique Ultrasonic Piezo Rhinoplasty

A piezo rhinoplasty also know as ultrasonic piezo rhinoplasty is a modern form of rhinoplasty that reshapes the nasal bones without any tissue damage that might happen in a usual rhinoplasty. A piezotome that transmits ultrasonic energy to the bone is used instead of a hammer and chisel. A closed ultrasonic piezo rhinoplasty minimizes external scarring and guarantees for a fast recovery.

Application Features:

Anesthesia: general anesthesia.
Application Period: 2-3 hours.
Pain: Minimal.
Recovery Period: 7 days.
Exact Result: 6 months.

Sleep Apnea and Snoring Surgery

Sleep apnea is considered a sleep abnormality and it is when the breathing of a person is disrupted while sleeping. It might seem like a trivial problem, but if not dealt with it can cause hypertension, a stroke, cardiomyopathy, diabetes, and even heart attacks.

  • An Uvulopalatopharyngoplasty surgery reduces sleep apnea and snoring by removing tissue from the back of the throat.
  • A tracheostomy cure sleep apnea by blocking the upper airway that happens due to a permanent opening in the neck to the windpipe.
  • A maxillo-mandibular advancement increases the size of the airway by moving the upper and lower jaw forward.
  • A Radiofrequency ablation releases blockage of airflow to the lungs by reducing the size of the tongue or other tissue.
  • A nerve simulation is where a device can be implanted in the upper chest, so it simulates the airway muscles to keep it open.

Masseter Botox for Bruxism

Bruxism is when you have a habit of grinding or clenching your teeth together. It can damage the teeth and any kind of restoration applied to them, can cause tension headaches as well as extreme facial or jaw pain. To relax the muscle and decrease the wear and tear on the teeth, small doses of Botox are injected into the masseter muscle which weakens the muscle enough to stop grinding of the teeth and clenching of the jaw.

Application Features:

Anesthesia: general anesthesia.
Application Period: 15 minutes.
Pain: mild.
Recovery Period: 2-5 days.
Exact Result: about a week.

Transcanal Endoscopic Eardrum Repair without Incision

A transcanal endoscopic ear surgery is a procedure that operates on tiny and delicate structures in the ear with minimal invasiveness. What makes this surgery different is that the doctors access the ear through the ear canal rather than making an incision behind the ear which is less painful and assures a quicker recovery journey. This procedure can be used to repair a hole or tear in the eardrum.

Application Features:

Anesthesia: general anesthesia.
Application Period: 90 minutes.
Recovery Period: 1-2 weeks.
Exact Result: 2-3 months.

Endoscopic Sinus Surgery

Endoscopic sinus surgery is a procedure used to remove blockages in the sinuses. These blockages result in pain, drainage, recurring infections, impaired breathing, or loss of smell. This procedure is taken when wanting to reduce the number and severity of sinus infections, improve airflow in the nose and the sense of smell.

Application Features:

Anesthesia: General anesthesia.
Application Period: 30-90 minutes.
Pain: Moderate.
Recovery Period: 1-3 weeks.

Closed Technique Preservation Rhinoplasty

A preservation rhinoplasty preserves the structure of the nose, it reshapes the tip cartilages and maintains or repairs the nasal ligaments that attach the skin to the cartilages. A closed preservation rhinoplasty modifies the nasal bone and cartilage without any external incisions.

Application Features:

Anesthesia: general anesthesia.
Application Period: 1-3 hours.
